Officer's death 'sad day for North Yorkshire Police'

A police officer has died in a road crash while he was on an emergency call in North Yorkshire.

PC Andrew Bramma was killed when his patrol van struck a tree in the village of West Tanfield, near Ripon, on Saturday.

Temporary chief constable Tim Madgwick said it is "a sad day for North Yorkshire Police".
