Crewe man charged after fatal stabbing

A man has been charged with murder following a stabbing attack in Crewe.

A 26-year-old local man was stabbed in the stomach during the assault in Wistaston Road at about 19:25 GMT on Friday, Cheshire Police said.

The victim was taken to University Hospital of North Staffordshire but died on Saturday afternoon.

Two Crewe men were arrested on Friday. One of them, aged 26, has been charged with murder and will appear at South Cheshire Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The other man, 27, was released without charge.
