New Year's Eve arrests down 50% in Devon and Cornwall
Nearly 100 people were arrested in Devon and Cornwall during the New Year's Eve celebrations.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the 97 arrests were all for alcohol-related offences - about 50% down on the figure for last year.
The force said the drop in arrests could be down to revellers drinking less and looking after each other better.
Insp Simon Pawsey said more police officers were also out on the streets.
