Peaky Blinders: Birmingham razor gang turned into TV drama
The story of a violent Victorian gang who used razors as weapons has been turned into a TV drama.
The gang, who operated in Birmingham in the 1890s, were known as the Peaky Blinders.
They got their name from their habit of hiding razor blades in the peaks of their caps.
Inside Out has looked at how screenwriter Steven Knight has adapted this true life gangster story for television.
Inside Out West Midlands is on BBC One on Monday, 7 January at 19:30 GMT and nationwide on the iPlayer for seven days thereafter.
