Two people die after crashes on Northamptonshire roads

Two people have died after crashes on roads in Northamptonshire.

A 43-year-old woman died after her car came off the A14 eastbound carriageway near the A43 junction at Kettering just after 08:00 GMT on Thursday.

She was taken to Kettering General Hospital but later died. Police said the coroner had been informed.

A 33-year-old passenger from Enfield was killed on Boxing Day morning when the car in which he was travelling crashed into a tree at Church Brampton.

The Mondeo car was travelling from Holdenby towards Church Brampton at about 10:15 GMT.

It was driven by a 49-year-old man from Daventry and contained three passengers, all men, aged, 31, 33 and 36.

Police have appealed for witnesses to both crashes.
