Man dies in lorry crash on A30 in Devon

A man has died after a car collided with a lorry causing a HGV to veer into steep woodland.

The 59-year-old was driving a Ford Focus on the A30 in Rawridge Hill, Honiton in Devon when the collision happened at 11:35 GMT on Christmas Eve.

The 50-year-old lorry driver, from Launceston suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for 10 hours while the crash was investigated. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police.
