Tribute to Mountbatten Way crash victim David Irving
The family of a cyclist who died in a collision involving a number of vehicles in Southampton has paid tribute to the "devoted" father-of-two.
David Irving from Wimborne, Dorset was riding along the Mountbatten Way flyover when the collision took place on 17 December. He died at the scene.
Two men from Hampshire were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
They have been released on bail until 19 March.
The 37-year-old from West End was driving a Ford Transit minibus and the 56-year-old from Fordingbridge was driving a Mercedes coupe.
In a statement, the family of Mr Irving, who police named on Monday, described him as "kind, thoughtful and devoted to his long term partner and two beautiful daughters".
His family added he had a "great sense of humour" and thanked the police, friends and neighbours for their support.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
