Sussex flood warnings as heavy rainfall continues

Flood warnings have been issued in parts of Sussex following heavy rain.

The Environment Agency has issued warnings for the River Cuckmere and River Bull at Hellingly and Powdermill Stream at Crowhurst.

A flood warning is also in place for the River Ouse at Barcombe and Aldingbourne Rife outside Bognor Regis.

The agency has warned that rain falling on already saturated ground could cause problems in many places.

An amber weather warning for heavy rainfall across the South East has been issued by the Met Office.

On Saturday, heavy rain is thought to have caused a mudslide which partially blocked Powdermill Lane at Catsfield.
