East Coast Main Line: Apology to travellers for rail chaos

A Network Rail spokesman has apologised for two days of disruption of the East Coast Main Line.

Thousands of rail passengers faced delays and cancellations because of continuing problems with overhead lines.

Services have been disrupted between Peterborough, Cambridge and London King's Cross due to problems between Stevenage and Hitchin in Hertfordshire.
