Jail for burglar after Cambridgeshire police pursuit
A man has been jailed after a four-mile police pursuit which injured two officers.
Carl Scarrow, 32, of St John's Close, in Mildenhall, Suffolk, was sentenced to four months for dangerous driving after pleading guilty at Cambridge Crown Court.
He was sentenced to a further four months after admitting a burglary and another month, to run concurrently, after admitting theft.
The pursuit happened near Newmarket.
Officers were called to reports of a break-in at a house in Fordham during the early hours of 18 September, where Scarrow was seen driving away from the scene.
Police caught the offender in Burwell using a stinger device that punctured his vehicle's tyres.
Two vehicles were rammed and two officers suffered minor injuries during the arrest.
Scarrow was also disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to take an extended retest.
