Man jailed over Truro party rape
A man who raped a girl at a house party in Cornwall has been jailed for four years.
George Gray, of East Lyng, Taunton, Somerset, had denied raping the 17-year-old at a birthday party in Truro in October 2011.
The 19-year-old, who claimed sexual activity had been consensual, was found guilty at Truro Crown Court last month.
Judge Mr Justice Burnett said the first year of Gray's sentence would be spent in a young offenders institution.
The judge told Gray he had appeared "brash and arrogant" in the witness box and while he accepted his ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) may have explained his behavioural problems, he had shown no remorse for his actions.
Gray was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
