Poole rape suspect Dean Goodwin faces 11 charges

A rape suspect arrested by armed police has been charged with eleven offences in Dorset and Hampshire.

Dean Goodwin, 32, was arrested in Poole on Tuesday after attacks on two women in Poole and Andover.

Dorset Police said he was charged with four counts of rape and the false imprisonment of a woman on Friday.

He is also accused of the attempted murder, rape, robbery and sexual assault of another woman in Andover on Monday.

Mr Goodwin also faces charges relating to burglaries in Wimborne and the Wallisdown area of Poole.

Officers arrested Mr Goodwin, from Poole, at about 17:45 GMT on Tuesday.

He is due to appear before Bournemouth magistrates on Thursday morning.
