London Midland disruption: 39 services affected
Thirty-nine London Midland services have been cancelled or disrupted because of short notice sickness and a shortage of drivers.
Trains on the Birmingham-Euston, Coventry-Nuneaton, Lichfield-Birmingham-Redditch and Birmingham-Rugeley lines have been affected.
London Midland said five shifts were affected, which meant 39 of its 1,300 trains were subject to alteration.
The operator has apologised for the timetable changes.
London Midland has said new trainee drivers will be qualified by mid-December.
About a dozen London Midland services have also been cancelled or altered after a train broke down after 09:00 GMT near Berkswell in the West Midlands.
Some London Midland and Virgin Trains services were also affected after a vehicle hit a road bridge at the village.
