A former security guard charged with stealing almost £1.2m from outside a Suffolk bank nearly 20 years ago has had an application for bail rejected.
A Securicor van went missing from outside Lloyds Bank in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe, in January 1993, and was later found on the town's seafront.
Eddie Maher, 57, formerly of South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, denies theft.
He appeared by video link at Luton Crown Court from Belmarsh Prison, where he is on remand.
Mr Maher was arrested in Missouri in the US in February and returned to the UK in July.
He is due to stand trial at Ipswich Crown Court on 4 March next year.
