MP Robert Halfon fights for breakdown on fuel bills

Conservative Harlow MP Robert Halfon has explained why he is fighting for a change in the law so motorists can be given a full breakdown on bills for fuel.

Under his idea, which is supported by a 15,000-signature petition, customers would be told how much of their bill was tax, how much went to the oil company, the retailer and how much was spent on road building and maintenance.

He has also called on the government to ease pressure on drivers by putting a freeze on fuel duty again.
