Motorcyclist dies in Worcestershire A46 crash

A woman died when her motorcycle was involved in a crash with a car on the Worcestershire-Gloucestershire border.

A black Peugeot 308 and a Kawazaki 650CC collided on the A46 between Beckford and Ashton under Hill at 09:45 BST.

The 40-year-old driver of the car is being questioned at Worcester police station on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The woman riding the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene.

The collision led to part of the A46 being closed until early afternoon.

Sgt Matt Eddy said: "We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw either the car or motorbike travelling along the A46 this morning."
