Rapper and former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! contestant Aggro Santos has gone on trial accused of raping two women.

The 23-year-old is charged with one rape in Chichester, West Sussex, in May 2011 and another in Yeovil, Somerset, between 24 and 27 September 2010.

Mr Santos is on trial with Tyrelle Ritchie, 21, who is charged with one count of sexual assault in Chichester.

The pair, who deny the charges, are on trial at Chichester Crown Court.

Mr Santos, of Bickersteth Road, Tooting, south-west London, is appearing under his real name Yuri Santos.

Mr Ritchie, of Vauxhall Street, Lambeth, south London, was charged along with Mr Santos last September.

Mr Santos's debut single, Candy, featuring former Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberly Wyatt, shot to number five in the UK charts in 2010.

He became more popularly known through his appearance in that year's series of ITV's reality game show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in which he reached the last six.
