Tribute to lake crash victim Ben Henshaw
The parents of a teenager who died when the car he was in went into a lake have paid tribute to their "wonderful" son.
Ben Henshaw, 16, from Alveley, in Shropshire was found by police divers in The Great Pool in Burnhill, Staffordshire Green, on Monday evening.
The 18-year-old male driver and 15-year-old female front-seat passenger managed to get out of the water.
Ben's parents, Tim and Trudi Henshaw, said he had a positive and fun-loving attitude towards life.'Great future'
Police said the car, a Peugeot 206, left Patshull Road and went through a hedge before entering the lake at about 12:25 BST on Monday.
Officers said no other vehicle was involved.
In a statement, Ben's parents said: "Ben was such a wonderful son, brother and grandson who touched the hearts of all who knew him.
"He had such a positive and fun-loving attitude towards life.
"He was a popular lad within the village of Alveley, Bridgnorth, and the surrounding areas.
"We are so devastated that Ben is no longer with us, he had such a great future ahead of him.
"Our much loved Ben will be sadly missed by all his family and all his wonderful friends."
The funeral will be held at St Mary's Church in Alveley on Friday.
