Lindsay Campbell dies after South Coast Skips fall

A 66-year-old man has died in hospital after an accident at a skip hire company in West Sussex.

Sussex Police said Lindsay Campbell, from Hampshire, was taken to the Royal London Hospital after the accident at about 09:00 BST on Wednesday.

He died in the evening from injuries received at South Coast Skips on Rudford Industrial Estate, Ford.

A 21-year-old man from Hampshire suffered a broken leg and elbow and is in St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.

Emergency services were called after reports that two men had fallen out of the bucket of an excavator while they were running cabling through the roof of a building.

The men are thought to have fallen from a height of about 30ft (10m).

Police and Health and Safety Executive officers are investigating the accident.
