Dudley quarry search: Police find body in water
West Midlands police used underwater search teams and the force helicopter in the operation.
Emergency services searching for a missing teenager at a quarry have recovered a body from the water.
West Midlands Police said a 14-year-old boy had been swimming in the quarry in Lower Gornal, Dudley, with a group of friends when he got into difficulty.
The force said a body of a male was found in the water at 20:26 BST but had not been formally identified.
Officers said there had been a number of youngsters at the quarry at the time and wanted to hear from them.
West Midlands Police said a specially trained family liaison officer was supporting the boy's family.
