Missing golden eagle flies from Gloucestershire home to Devon
A golden eagle that flew off during a show at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire has returned home to east Devon.
The bird, called Samson, was missing for a week before he turned up at Escot Park near Ottery St Mary, 107 miles (172km) away.
His handler Jonathan Marshall said he was "absolutely astounded" that the eagle had come back.
He said a homecoming party would be thrown for Samson on Thursday night.
Jules Hyam reports.
