How prized pigeons became business high flyers
The humble pigeon has been considered to be quite a nuisance for some, but in parts of East Yorkshire, they have earned a reputation as a valuable export.
Some of the world's best pigeons are believed to be worth thousands of pounds, with many of them cherished for their speed and blood-lines.
Guy Sparkes from Premiere Pigeon Racing said that their current lofts now hold over 2,300 pigeons.
Amateur pigeon racer John Willstrop, explained that there is still room in the industry for him to compete with the worlds best.
Paul Murphy reports.
