Sussex Police charge man over auction house raids

A 46-year-old man has been charged with nine burglaries at auction houses across the south of England.

Sussex Police said the man had been charged with stealing items including antique clocks, jewellery and figurines with an estimated value of £200,000.

The burglaries are alleged to have been carried out across Sussex, Kent, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

Sussex Police said the man was due to appear before Brighton magistrates on 14 June.

He is also accused of theft, drugs offences, and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
