People around England are celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at events across the country.

In London, despite wet weather, parties are taking place in parks around the capital ahead of the Thames Jubilee River Pageant later this afternoon.

A Diamond Jubilee tea party, thought to be the remotest in the world, will take place later in the Arctic. Polar Explorer Antony Jinman from Plymouth led a six-man group to the summit of Mount Barbeau, on the Queen Elizabeth Islands, 560 miles (901km) from the North Pole.
