Tories reveal West Mercia police commissioner candidate

The Conservatives have announced Adrian Blackshaw will be their candidate to become the first West Mercia Police commissioner.

Mr Blackshaw was chosen by the party in a ballot on Saturday.

Police and crime commissioners will be elected in 41 force areas across England and Wales on 15 November.

They will replace police authorities made up of councillors and will have the power to hire and fire chief constables.
