Justin Lee Collins to stand trial at St Albans over harassment

Justin Lee Collins Justin Lee Collins will face trial on 24 September at St Albans Crown Court

Television presenter and comic Justin Lee Collins is to go on trial accused of harassing a former girlfriend.

Mr Collins, 37, of Kew in London, appeared at St Albans Crown Court charged with causing computer games developer Anna Larke fear of violence.

The Bristol-born presenter pleaded not guilty to the charge and will face trial on 24 September.

Judge John Plumstead granted bail with a condition he does not contact Ms Larke or her family.

Mr Collins, who was on Channel 4's Friday Night Project, is currently appearing in the West End show Rock of Ages.

He split from his wife of seven years Karen soon after Christmas 2010.
