Yorkshire regiment's Afghanistan fears

Help

Six British soldiers - including five from 3rd Battalion the Yorkshire Regiment - have been killed in southern Afghanistan.

The men had been on patrol in Kandahar province when their vehicle was hit by an explosion on Tuesday. Their families have been told.

Last month BBC Look North joined some of the soldiers' colleagues at a training exercise designed to prepare them for a six-month tour of duty in the country.

Some of the men told of their fears about the forthcoming mission, which starts in a few weeks' time.
