A man has been jailed for stealing a motor home in Cambridgeshire, which he later tried to sell on the auction website eBay.

John Ward, 23, of Willen Road, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, was sentenced to 18 months at Huntingdon Crown Court.

His father, Thomas Ward, 42, of the same address, was given a 10-month suspended sentence and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.

The pair were arrested after the motor home's owner saw it on eBay.

The vehicle had been taken from an industrial estate in Kimbolton on 11 March 2011.

The owner noticed the motor home for sale on the website in June and police traced it to the Wards' address.

John Ward was found guilty of theft and Thomas Ward was found guilty of fraud by false representation and handling stolen goods.
