East Anglian drought sparks hosepipe ban warning


The eastern region faces a summer water shortage after its driest spell in 90 years, according to the Environment Agency.

Its experts say water levels are worryingly low and twice the average rainfall is needed if rivers are to recover and a hosepipe ban is to be avoided.
