Two arrested after burnt headless body discovery in Stockport

Police in Greater Manchester have arrested two men on suspicion of murder after a body was found burnt and headless in Stockport.

The body of the man, thought to have been in his 20s, was found near Wellington Street, Stockport, at 05:10 GMT. His head was discovered nearby.

Greater Manchester Police have arrested two men, aged 29 and 31, on suspicion of murder.

Supt Pete Matthews said "it would be wrong to speculate" on the incident.
