Network Rail announces £2bn Norwich to London line plan
National Rail has said a £2bn investment will be made on the Norwich to London line infrastructure during the next seven years.
In a meeting with frustrated commuters in Ipswich on Saturday the company admitted mistakes had been made.
It said it was "vitally important we get the right service provision to meet both the expansion and growth of the railways" in the future.
The meeting was organised by Ipswich MP Ben Gummer, one of several MPs in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex campaigning for improvements on the line.
