Rail services between the East Midlands and London are returning to normal after a signal failure caused delays.

East Midlands Trains said there were Network Rail signalling problems in the Leicestershire area during Saturday afternoon and evening.

Replacement bus services were laid on as some services to and from St Pancras were either delayed or cancelled.

The rail company said passengers who were unable to travel on Saturday would be able to use their tickets on Sunday.
