Newcastle sleep centre helps banish sleepless nights

Help

A new sleep research centre at the University of Northumbria in Newcastle is trying to find out why some people are more troubled by noise disturbance than others.

BBC Newcastle breakfast presenter Charlie Charlton is used to getting up early for her job and often has sleepless nights.

She visits the Centre for Sleep Research to get Dr Jason Ellis' tips on how to enjoy a better night's sleep.

Inside Out North East and Cumbria can be seen on BBC One at 19:30 GMT on Monday, 14 November and nationwide on the BBC iPlayer for seven days afterwards.
