Leicester food and drink event encourages India links

Food and drink companies across the Midlands have been offered help to export their products to Asia.

The Indo British Trade Council, which was promoting the concept in Leicester, said it was crucial for the Midlands and India to develop trade links.

Delegate Ninder Jahal believes selling goods - like curry made in the East Midlands - to India could make firms millions.

Last year trade between the UK and India was worth £10bn.
