Chainsaw man almost severs head in Cambridgeshire

Help

A tree surgeon has described the moment he fell on to a chainsaw, cutting through a third of his neck.

Tom Connelly, from Cambridgeshire, was moments from death after slipping at work in April.

He lost half his blood after severing his jugular vein and was only saved when medics employed techniques normally used on wounded troops in Afghanistan.
