Met Police dogs left in private vehicle die from heat

An inquiry has begun after two Metropolitan Police dogs left in a private vehicle died from heat exhaustion.

Officers broke into the car at the dog training centre in Keston, near Bromley, but the animals could not be saved.

As temperatures crossed 30C in London mainline trains were disrupted and the ambulance service reported a rise in heat-related calls.
