A woman has appeared in court accused of murdering a 92-year-old great grandmother in the West Midlands.

Daisy Myring was found with head injuries at her home in Brownhills on 31 May. She died in hospital.

Sheila Jones, from Brownhills Road in Norton Canes, Staffordshire, was charged with her murder on Thursday.

The 36-year-old was remanded in custody by magistrates in Walsall on Friday and is due to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court at a date to be fixed.
