'Disastrous' harvest for sugar beet farmers


Some farmers are considering opting out of growing sugar beet after the worst harvest in decades.

The harvest has been so poor that British Sugar has announced "exceptional measures" to help beet farmers. The company has said it is worried farmers will stop growing the crop with the fall in the price they are paid.
