Takeover for Norwich and Peterborough Building Society
The east of England's biggest building society, the Norwich and Peterborough, could be taken over.
The company said it had had a number of approaches and was keeping its options open.
The Yorkshire Building Society is rumoured to be one of the parties interested in a possible takeover.
The society employs 800 people in the region, including 250 at its headquarters in Peterborough.
