Man arrested over Herne Bay toilet sex attack on boy

A man has been arrested following a sex attack on a 16-year-old boy in toilets in Kent.

Kent Police said a 42-year-old man from Colne, Lancashire, was questioned over the incident in William Street, Herne Bay, on Tuesday, and released on bail.

The force said the attack took place between 1600 GMT and 1700 GMT and it was seeking four possible witnesses.

Detectives have urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police.

Det Insp Richard Vickery added: "Our inquiries have revealed that four people used the toilets between the times that the alleged offence was reported to have occurred.

"These people are likely to have important information that will assist this inquiry and we would like to hear from them."
