Yorkshire sport award for World Cup referee


World Cup Final referee Howard Webb has won the Sporting Achievement Award at the 2010 Yorkshire Awards.

Mr Webb, a policeman from Rotherham, has been a FIFA-listed referee since 2005.

This year he became the first referee to officiate the UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup finals in the same year.
