Hampshire man charged over street attack in Essex

A 24-year-old man from Aldershot has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after another man was found badly injured in an Essex village.

The injured man, who was 21 and also from Aldershot, was found with serious injuries at a house in Great Totham, near Witham, early on Tuesday.

He is being treated at Queens Hospital in Romford for life-threatening injuries.

The accused is due to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates' Court later.
