Body found in lake search for North Yorkshire fisherman

Search on Ullswater Mr Bryant's dinghy was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning

Police divers have found the body of a North Yorkshire fisherman missing in the Lake District.

Mark Bryant, 55, from Beamsley, was last seen fishing on Ullswater on Tuesday and the alarm was raised when he failed to return to his campsite.

A major search started on Tuesday involving police, coastguard, mountain rescue and underwater search teams.

Cumbria Police confirmed that Mr Bryant's body was discovered on Wednesday evening.

Emergency crews searched the lake as surrounding areas including campsites, hotels and guest houses.
