Brighton engineer has pedal power hope for future bikes

A Brighton engineer has invented a pedal that will convert an ordinary bike into an electric one.

Stephen Britt has won a number of competitions with the invention, and has been given £50,000 to develop the idea and bring it to market.

South East Today's Business Correspondent Mark Norman was only the fifth person allowed to try out the powered bike.
