Shock over Sussex vicar's marriage scam

Friends and colleagues of a vicar who carried out hundreds of sham marriages in St Leonards to bypass immigration law have talked about their shock and surprise at what happened.

The Reverend Alex Brown, who presided over hundreds of bogus ceremonies between Africans and Eastern Europeans, was one of three men convicted of immigration offences at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday.
