Ten men and two women held in Durham drugs raids

Ten men and two women have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs after raids on 11 properties in County Durham.

More than 100 officers were involved in the operation on homes in Easington Colliery and Peterlee early on Thursday.

Small quantities of cannabis, tablets and white powder were also seized.

Police community support officers were also sent to the areas where the raids took place to reassure residents.
