'Pampered' pigs are optimistic
Researchers at Newcastle University found that pigs feel more optimistic about life if they are in a more pleasant environment.
The "happier" pigs are more likely to put a positive interpretation on a strange new event.
Dr Catherine Douglas describes the technique for determining the pigs' happiness level.
