League Managers' Association apologises for statement

The League Manager's Association (LMA) has apologised after describing offensive text messages sent by former Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay as "friendly banter".

The LMA's original statement on Thursday provoked widespread criticism from anti-discrimination campaigners, and on social media.

The Football Association is investigating Mackay's comments.
