Malaysia Airlines crash: Football fans unite for victims

Two of the British victims of flight MH17 were lifelong Newcastle United fans who were travelling to New Zealand to watch their club.

The team's manager has paid tribute to John Alder and Liam Sweeney, and a fundraising website set up by fans of the their bitter rivals, Sunderland, has raised nearly £25,000.

All 298 passengers and crew lost their lives when the Malaysia Airlines plane came down in eastern Ukraine, last Thursday.
