New rules extending the right to ask for flexible working to all employees with six months' experience in a job have been welcomed by the deputy prime minister.
Nick Clegg said the change was good for individuals and could boost the productivity of companies which allow greater flexibility.
He told the BBC that it was important to "make sure that our workplaces [are] shaped around the needs of modern families".
